Chinese slimming tea is full of antioxidants and well known people such as Jennifer Lopez, Gwyneth Paltrow, Lindsay Lohan, Eva Longoria and Courtney Love are all big fans of green slimming tea, Gwyneth has been quoted as saying ‘drink green tea instead of snacking, we should all increase our water intake and our levels of antioxidants’, so if all these slim ladies are fans the question is does slimming tea work? is it slimming tea that makes them so slim.

Green tea can help to reduce body weight, in 2008 a study published in Physiology & Behavior which is the official journal of the International Behavioral Neuroscience Society, investigated the effects of green slimming tea on 60 obese Thai people, half were given the tea and half a placebo and they concluded that green tea can reduce body weight by increasing energy expenditure and fat oxidation.
Scientists at the South China Institute of Botany China have published a study in the scientific Journal of Medicinal Food on the benefits of the substances found in green tea. They found that green tea is associated with increased weight loss due to helping your body to burn off excess food.
American health guru Dr Perricone has said that replacing coffee with green tea could help slimmers lose 10 pounds in six weeks, a 2007 study at the Department of Nutritional Sciences in America concluded that green tea is rich in antioxidants and metabolic-enhancing substances called catechins, it also said that in Southeast Asian countries, habitual consumption of green tea is directly related to an improvement in cardiovascular health.
